The Forces of Change Assessment (FOCA) is centered around answering the questions:
“What is occurring or might occur that affects the well-being of our residents or the local system?”
“What specific threats or opportunities are generated by these occurrences?”
The FOCA was facilitated by the Impact DuPage Core Team, comprised of DuPage County Health Department staff. Facilitated brainstorming sessions were conducted with community leaders to identify forces such as trends, factors, or events that are influencing the quality of life and health of the community. To obtain wide-ranging input, the assessment was conducted with 15 distinct audiences during meetings held in the winter of 2021.
